Apr 19,  · 1. uninstall hyper-v -> uninstall vmware -> install hyper-v. make sure you keep your vm's. 2. delete all files that refer to vmware and then manually delete all regkeys that refer to vmware. sound horrible and it is! you may destroy your OS during this action, but it worked for me several times in similar situations/5().
